DIY Decorative stone – Stone Varnish

      An original and on budget idea for various decorations, both interior and exterior, is decorated natural stone.

     If you gathered on vacation a few stones that caught your attention, which now sit in a drawer without being put in value, we propose to cheer them up with Stone Varnish from Oskar range.

     Oskar offers a varnish that can be used for coating a few stones which will become an interior decoration. With extra weather and UV protection properties, Oskar Stone Varnish can be used for facades decorated with natural stone or brick plated, but also for stones to be placed in the garden.

     After varnishing, the stones can be used as such in the ensemble, their natural color being emphasized by the varnish.

     You can also opt to prior decorate the stones with acrylic paint. You can send messages or dye the stones with colors to match the room in which they will be located. Colored and varnished stones can be the accent in a neutral colored room.

     If you have no support from your graphic skills and drawing on stone seems difficult, an effective solution is to use clippings from decorative napkins. They are easy to apply and the edges will fade completely once the varnish is applied.

      You can even turn stones decorating in a children's activity. Decorate stones together, letting them choose their patterns or colors.

     The alphabet can be easier to learn when it is represented on a nonconformist support. Why not, math as well…

     To obtain good adhesion to the surface, the stones must be clean and dry before sealing and for areas under strong action of weathering is recommended to apply two coats of varnish.
